By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

This Policy supplements our Terms of Service.

1.2 Collected automatically

  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, general location derived from IP, dates and times of access, pages viewed, and referring URLs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: we and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and understand how the Service is used.
  • Notifications: if you enable push notifications, we may collect a device token or comparable identifier to deliver notifications.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
  • Analyze usage in aggregate or de-identified form to improve the product

3. U.S.-only platform

OpenHauz is a United States-based platform and is intended for users in the United States only.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information in the conventional sense. We may share information as follows:

  • Other users: profile and listing content may be visible as part of the Service (for example, to buyers, sellers, agents, or attendees), according to product behavior and your settings.
  • Service providers: vendors who assist us with hosting, storage, email delivery, analytics, security, customer support, and similar functions, bound by contractual obligations.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • With your direction: when you ask us to share information or integrate with a third-party service you choose.

5. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify personal information subject to legal retention needs (for example, security logs or financial records).

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we encourage strong passwords and safeguarding your devices.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended ("CCPA"), you may have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing that qualifies as "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. We describe categories of data we collect in Section 1. To exercise rights, contact us at hello@openhauz.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Account deletion: you may delete your account through in-product settings as described on our account deletion page (Profile → Settings → Delete Account).
